Yumi brought Artist-Designer Norman Teague to The Art Center for an exhibition, later featured in the New York Times. In an Artnet.com interview, Norman Teague credited Yumi’s advocacy for bringing his show to Highland Park.

Picture Left: As D113 Education Foundation co-President, Yumi helped organize the 2020 Annual Pizza Bowl Fundraiser which broke records for attendance and number of participating restaurants: Over 350 guests enjoyed food from 22 local vendors. Ticket sales helped fund innovative teachers grants and student clubs at Highland Park High School and Deerfield High School.
